Welcome to the home of
Aberdeen Bushido Karate Club
Aberdeen Bushido, the North East of Scotlands premier Karate club, exists to teach and promote traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate. The club founder, Gordon Farquhar (5th Dan) was firmly rooted in traditional Shotokan Karate having trained diligently in the art for over 35 years, training with karate legends such as Master Kanazawa, Hanshi Asano, the late Hanshi Enoeda plus many many more.
Following Gordons recent untimely death Alasdair Taylor (4th Dan WSKF), who has more than 30 years experience in Shotokan karate, has continued that tradition.
Aberdeen Bushido Karate Club is affiliated to the World Shotokan karatedo federation under Sensei Hitoshi Kasuya (8th Dan), The club meets regularly for training three times a week, with Grading courses held in Aberdeen quarterly. Japanese Sensei, including Sensei Hitoshi Kasuya and Sensei Yasuyuke Aragane are in regular attendance. The training is equally suited for beginners as it is for advanced students, with new members of all levels always welcome
